Savings & Money Market Accounts

Clay County Savings Bank offers two types of regular savings accounts, a passbook account and a statement savings account, and a special savings accounts for our younger customers called the Kids Adventure Club  No minimum balance is required to open these accounts.  The statement savings account earns a slightly higher rate and yield, but has a $100 minimum balance requirement to avoid fees.  In addition, Clay County Savings Bank offers a Money Market Account, which has limited check writing ability.  The Money Market Account requires a $1,000 minimum balance to avoid a monthly service charge.

*A $1 service charge applies if the balance falls below the minimum balance at any time during the statement cycle for statement savings accounts and a $10 service charge applies if the balance fall below $1,000 at any time during the statement cycle for money market accounts.  Preauthorized transactions are customer-directed transfer such as for loan payments, insurance, or other electronic funds transfers.  Also includes transfers to another account to cover nonsufficent funds.  A $10 fee will apply per transaction item over the preauthorized limitation.  These limitations are established by federal regulations.
