Debit or Credit

When it comes to paying at checkout,
you can pay the way you want

Debit or credit is a choice many of us make every day, whether it’s picking up groceries or paying at the pump. With the Clay County Savings Bank Debit Card or Clay County Savings Bank Credit Card, you can pay the way you want.

The Clay County Savings Bank Visa® Debit Card has the flexibility to be used in many different ways. It’s an ATM card that can be used at more than 4,200 locations worldwide to access your accounts surcharge free. You can use the card to pay by either a debit or a credit transaction when you shop.

When paying by credit, all you have to do is swipe your card and sign your name. When paying by debit, you will input your personal identification number (PIN) when you swipe your card. Both payment options draw funds directly from your checking account.

Clay County Savings Bank also offers Visa Signature®, Visa® Platinum and Travel Rewards American Express® for your credit card needs.

While paying by credit or debit is largely a personal preference, there are differences in terms of liability under the law. Someone using your debit card with your PIN could put you on the hook for up to $500 or more depending on how quickly the theft is reported.

Whether it’s for your personal banking or business account, Clay County Savings Bank has you covered when it comes to debit or credit. For more information, visit one of our locations or call (816) 781-4500.
