After serving in the military for 8 years, including a deployment in Iraq for Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom, Steve Boos realized that he wanted to dedicate his career to helping others. His wife, Cathi, a social gerontologist, who had worked extensively with the Area Agency on Aging and in a nursing home, agreed. Together, they decided that helping seniors was the perfect opportunity to blend their passion and experience.
Since opening their North Kansas City Home Instead Senior Care office in 2005, Steve and Cathi have built a successful franchise that has served an estimated 600 seniors and employs nearly 100 CAREGivers. They are actively involved in the community through initiatives such as the Arthritis Foundation, Meals on Wheels and Be a Santa to a Senior which provides gifts to seniors in need during the holiday season.
Home Instead Senior Care’s Northland office serves Excelsior Springs, Gladstone, Holt, Kansas City, North Kansas City, Kearney, Liberty, Missouri City, Parkville, Platte City, Riverside, Smithville and Weston. For more information, visit Home Instead Senior Care’s website.
