Jazzercise Liberty Fitness Center

When you hear Jazzercise you think legwarmers and leotards, right? Or a workout for your Mom but not for you? Jazzercise workouts got so popular in the 80’s they created a fitness revolution that people still associate with the name today.

Jazzercise is the original dance party workout but today the leotards—and the 80’s—are long gone and the classes are way too hot for legwarmers. Jazzercise is a pulse-pounding, beat-pumping, body-blasting fitness program. It’s a high intensity dance party that fuses cardio, strength, Pilates, hip hop, yoga and kickboxing.

Judi Sheppard Missett started the revolution in 1969 when she created Jazzercise. Today she runs the company as CEO and Founder and teaches classes every week. Her daughter, Shanna Missett Nelson, is President and an instructor.

Jazzercise instructors have raised more than $28 million nationwide for a wide range of causes, most of them directly affecting their local communities. The company also offer Kids Get Fit, a community outreach program to fight childhood obesity. Instructors throw free dance parties at schools all over the world to get kids moving.
